Parish Bulletin for the Fourth Sunday of Easter

Good Afternoon,

Happy Mother’s Day to all the women caregivers in our parish! We welcome Pope Leo XIV as he serves the church in his new role as Pope.

We are excited to let you know about a book launch of 100 Stories from the History of St. Joseph’s Parish, which will be available for purchase later this month. Thank you to parishioners Terry Byrne for your leadership and development of the project, and to Chris Adam for so much editing and publishing effort to make it happen.

Bulletin for the Second Sunday of Easter

Good Afternoon,

Attached you will find our Bulletin. Thank you to those who attended the Memorial Service for Pope Francis today at the noon Mass. To those of you who were unable to attend, the Reflection by Roshene (in the Bulletin) will be read at this weekend’s Masses. As well, we have a memorial book for the late Pope at the back of the church. Please sign your name or some words as we recognise his great legacy of caring and compassion.

St. Joseph’s Parish is proud to be an Elections Canada voting station this coming Monday. Elections Canada estimates that as many as 10,000 individuals may come to the Parish Hall to cast their ballot.

Parish Bulletin for the Sixth Sunday of Lent

Good day,

Please find linked below our Sunday bulletin, packed with news.

Notably, you will see info for Holy Week – the Liturgical schedule for everything from now until Easter Sunday. Please note that Easter Lily memorials close on Tuesday, use the form below or see the Bulletin for more details.

Our former pastor, Fr. Jim Bleackley, passed away this past Tuesday. We deeply mourn the loss of Fr. Jim here at St. Joe’s. After Easter, we will work towards organising an activity to honour Jim. Jim was a good person and will be remembered by all. He was also the cornerstone of keeping our parish vibrant through the worst of the pandemic. May you rest in peace, Fr. Jim. Please see the obituary linked below, there are also limited copies available this weekend with the Bulletins.

Parish Bulletin for the 2nd Sunday of Lent

Good day,

We look forward to having you join us this weekend. Not only is it Hospitality Sunday, but this extends to both evening Masses as well with treats and goodies to accompany both you and the Parish Pastoral Council. PPC Members will be joining this weekend to engage with you and get your thoughts about St. Joe’s and our activities.

Additionally, next week join us and other churches in the area for an Inter-Parish Lenten Mission featuring Megan McKenna. Details on the locations are found in the Bulletin. Many other activities will happen here throughout Lent as well; so check out the Bulletin and stay tuned for more to come!
