The St. Joseph’s rectory boasts multiple versatile meeting spaces. These rooms can be used to host community meetings, individual sessions, as well as workshops.
They are available on a one-time or long-term basis depending on your needs and room availability. Below is information about individual rooms that are available for use:
Parish Hall
The Hall at St. Joseph’s is an ideal place to hold banquets, large gatherings, and celebrations. Including a stair lift from the entrance down to the Hall, it is an accessible space for all. The facility can hold up to 400 people (200 banquet style), with a reasonably priced paid parking lot to accommodate many guests.

Hall rates are the following (subject to change without notice):
Weekend: Company/private events: $1500/day | Nonprofit/community events: $1000/day*
Weekday: we offer a 20% discount for weekday rentals, with the following rates – Company/private events: $1200/day | Nonprofit/community events: $800/day*
*Please note that to be eligible for this rate, you must show proof of charitable status or be approved as a community community event. No further discounts can be offered.
To secure your booking for the Hall, a $500 refundable damage deposit is required, which is not included in your rental fee. It will be returned upon the space passing a post-rental inspection.
Oblate Lounge
The Oblate Lounge is ideal for day retreats, board meetings, celebrations, and other mid-sized gatherings. The space can accommodate 20-35 individuals in its comfortable setting overlooking the University of Ottawa and surrounding area. Booking of the Oblate Lounge includes optional use of the upstairs kitchenette.

The Oblate Lounge is available during the daytime and evening, Monday through Friday at the following rates (subject to change without notice):
- $120 for the first three hours (minimum)
- $25 for each additional hour
To secure your booking for the Oblate Lounge, a $150 refundable damage deposit is required, which is not included in your rental fee. It will be returned upon the space passing a post-rental inspection.
Library
The Parish library at St. Joe’s doesn’t only house books; but an excellent meeting space. Easily accessed from the parking lot, this space is ideal for small meetings and gatherings. The library can house 8-12 guests for an enjoyable, conveniently located get-together. There is plenty of room for a small play area or location to place coats and bags.
