Parish Bulletin for the 26th Sunday in Ordinary Time

This weekend’s expanded Bulletin offers a wealth of updates and information, including a news item on Indigenous Reconciliation from the Archdiocese of Ottawa-Cornwall, sharing how funds donated to this campaign have been distributed to the Indigenous communities. Reconciliation is a key theme at this weekend’s Masses. Additionally, read about a special Immaculata High School effort to assist the St. Joe’s Supper Table, find out about the St. Joe’s Women’s Centre’s new Safe Space Room and how last week’s Mobile Clinic on parish property went. You’ll also find an update from the Refugee Outreach Committee on the collection from last weekend, and lots more news from the parish.

A couple of items to highlight for this weekend:

  • The front entrance is substantially complete and we are proceeding with a blessing at the Saturday 5 pm and Sunday 9:30 am and 11:30 am Masses. Please note that a guard rail has still to be installed along the accessibility ramp, therefore for this weekend we will continue to use the temporary ramp on Cumberland. Other than that, the entrance will be opened to the public this weekend and Fr. Robert has a blessing ceremony planned.
  • We have made good progress selling tickets for the St. Joe’s Supper Table Autumn Harvest Fundraiser scheduled for Saturday, October 21st, 2023. One-fourth of all available tickets have been sold as of today. Kathleen Strader and I will be at all Masses once again this weekend to sell tickets in person. We can accept cheque, cash and credit cards payments. Tickets are also available online through Canada Helps. Please see the Bulletin for details.
