Community Healing Service Ministry

Community Healing Service Ministry

“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” Matthew 18:20

Here at St. Joe’s, healing is a part of our personal and community life. Where two or three are gathered, God is present with us and we encounter a new beginning. Every person experiences healing differently, but together we are called to walk in harmony as we continue to seek healing from things that may hold us back from becoming more alive in our God and in each other.

The healing ministry is available after the Saturday and Sunday liturgies the first Saturday and Sunday of the month.

Those who wish prayer for healing are invited to gather in the prayer space (Healing Centre at the front of the church on the left side.) A member(s) of the healing ministry will be present and you are invited to bring family and friends with you. Parishioners are welcome to come and join in the prayer.

The sacrament of the sick will be offered during the Sunday celebration on the Sunday closest to the world day for the sick in February.
