Oblate Associates
One of the many ways a parishioner can share in the life and ministry of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate, the religious order that founded St. Joe’s, is as an Oblate Associate.
Oblate Associates are men and women who recognize a Spirit-initiated call to the Oblate charism, based on the life of St. Eugene de Mazenod, to live in intentional relationship with the Oblate Province of OMI Lacombe Canada. As a way of living their baptismal commitment, Oblate Associates form community with the professed Oblates and witness to the Oblate charism in their ministries. Along with other Oblate Associates from Ottawa and Arnprior, Associates from St. Joe’s meet monthly for fellowship, prayer, formation and reflection on their missionary outreach.
