The Sacrament of the Sick is not only one for strength and courage. It is also one of mission. We do not often think of a person who is sick as someone on a mission.  Yet, their presence in our lives and their vulnerability call us to a deeper care and awareness of God’s presence in our midst. In the state of illness, God invites us to a new openness and humility. This certainly sends us more deeply into our faith and the compassion of God. This sacrament is celebrated after a mass normally and sometimes during mass. By appointment it may also be celebrated in the church, at your home with your family present, or in the hospital.
