Photos from the Volunteer Appreciation Barbecue

On May 2, 2019, nearly one hundred volunteers from a wide range of ministries at St. Joseph’s Parish enjoyed a barbecue hosted by Parish Pastoral Council in appreciation for their work and dedication to this community. After dinner, Roslyn Brown, Chair of PPC, thanked all those present for their commitment. The annual volunteer appreciation event has become a parish tradition over the past five years; each year, it is held as close as possible to May 1st, which is both a May Day celebration in many countries in honour of workers as well as the Feast Day of St. Joseph the Worker in the liturgical calendar.

Thank you to all who helped make this event possible, especially to coordinators Donna Rietschlin and Paul Roche and all members of PPC, as well as to everyone for participating! It was a great opportunity for our parish community to come together, share a meal and experiences in a welcoming environment.

Many thanks to Bob Orser for taking these photographs!
