Position Summary

The Director of Administration, Finance and Social Programs provides administrative leadership in support of an active inner city parish and is sensitive to the spiritual dimension and mission work of the parish. The Director will manage a financial budget of over $1 million as well as four full-time (including an accountant) and six part-time employees and numerous volunteers. The Director will ensure that the parish’s financial information, human resources and administrative systems have the capacity to meet its mission and goals. As the most senior staff position, the Director is also responsible for supporting program managers (Director of Women's Centre and Manager of Supper Table) in fundraising and operational planning and for providing policy recommendations to the Parish Council and Finance Council.

Qualifications Required

a) Education

Ideally, you have a university or college level education in a related field such as social services, business, public administration or management and have at least five years of related experience.  Alternatively, you have worked at least five years in a senior management position.

b) Experience

You will have significant experience in managing and evaluating programs and services; financial management including software-based budget development and tracking; human resources, information technology and overall operations management.

You are a confident, self directed, highly motivated, strategic thinker with excellent written and verbal communications skills who has demonstrated success in the areas of fundraising, public presentations and marketing/communications.

You will bring strong integrity and personal responsibility to the task of overseeing the strategic direction and goals of the parish and its social programs.

Other Requirements

As the successful candidate you must be willing to work a few evenings each month. You must also be comfortable with computer technology.

As the successful candidate, you must be willing to work in an environment that honours the spirituality of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate, a Roman Catholic order of Religious who serve those in the margins of society.

In consideration of the population we serve, a police background check will be required.

Compensation
