WEEKEND MASSES

Saturday Evening  Mass       5 p.m.

This is a small, friendly community gathering where all are welcome. This community often offers potluck suppers through the year. With its intimate size, you may find it easier to meet people. There is a dedicated choir and everyone is encouraged to sing.

Sunday Morning Mass       9:30 a.m.

This mass is very family orientated. Every effort is made to provide a safe, prayerful, and welcoming place for the whole family.

Liturgy of the Word for children is given on the 1st, 2nd, and 4th Sundays of the month. On the 3rd Sunday of the month, the children’s liturgy is held upstairs in the Church.  Children may participate in the opening procession by carrying colourful banners with ribbons and doves. There is also a family choirthat meets to rehearse at 9 a.m., prior to the mass. Instrumentalists to accompany the choir are always welcome.

Sunday Morning  Mass       11:30 a.m.

This mass includes all age groups, from young families, young adults, to retirees.  This is our largest gathering.  Every effort is made to greet new members and help them to become part of the community. The choir is a soprano, alto, tenor, bass (SATB) choir. Rehearsals are every Thursday night at 7:15 p.m. and again at 10:30 a.m., prior to mass.

Sunday Evening Mass       7:00 p.m. (September through April ONLY)

(also note that there are no 7pm Masses on Dec 21 and Dec 28, 2014)

All are welcome to attend this evening mass.  Its special intention is to reach out to the university community and other young adults. The mass is informal and contemplative.   After each mass we have social time.  For more information, contact the Coordinator of Faith Formation and Young Adult Ministry at mmiller@st-josephs.ca or 613-233-4095 x 235.
